bang BANG reference ... Toyo Ito

Toyo Ito is Japanese and experiences the changing seasons, the weather, the landscape with an ancient tradition and at the same time with a mystical feeling of becoming and change that is foreign to other cultures. [...] In the media of Sendai emerges underwater and feel the tall trees swaying in which structural immerse themselves in an area transparent and seem to move the flow of electronic information media. In this work it is as if the waves do not see Wi-fi, but that materialize on our screens, traveling in the air tends to move the plans free of the media and sway like seaweed make pylons forming structure, space, light and form of this building. as already mentioned, the "box" of glass is inhabited by a series of algae that, although different from each other, have a structure "mobile" very simple. The carriers are made of metal tubes welded together to grow and develop to the top performing twisting and warping.

My motivations

I took the project of Rem Koolhaas as a reference because it is very close to mine, those who use these spaces is not just a disabled person, but it can be anyone.
Koolhaas did not want to redo the usual system of ramps, but has created a machine that moved as needed. House Floriac thus becomes an example not only for different customers, but also for the wealth of technologies used, and because every form turn to another becomes a different space.

BANG MY ... ALGAE

what are they?
Algae belong to the realm of plants and are thus able, like terrestrial plants, individual substances to manufacture high-energy from sun, water and carbon dioxide. That are capable of photosynthesis, and that's because they have chlorophyll and other pigments. The algae are differentiated from higher plants because they have developed complex structures in their structural organization. Another name often attributed to the algae is "tallofite," because their body plant is a "tall", a structure that is no true tissues or organs specialized, for example, in the absorption of substances from the substrate, a function that in higher plants, is carried out by the roots. This absence in the development of complex cellular organization is likely to include the environment of their choice to live. In fact, the algae live in water or very moist environments, and have no problem in the absorption of
liquid or vice versa, in preserving them. To tell the truth in some algae have evolved different tissues similar to those of terrestrial plants in the transport of nutrients. A final feature that distinguishes the algae, is the absence of flowers, that is sterile structures that protect the reproductive organs.

what they do?
In systems constructed wetland plants have an active role and not merely for the aesthetic treatment.
water treatment is based on the cooperative growth of macrophytes and their associated microorganisms, which play a large part of the process of degradation organic matter. Aquatic plants remove some of the unwanted substances through the assimilation into the tissues and surface and provide a suitable environment for microorganisms that convert the pollutants and reduce the concentration.
In the aquatic natural overgrowth of vegetation formations, especially monospecific, indicates a high trophic status (eutrophic) generated mainly by organic pollution and nutrients (nitrogen compounds and phosphates). This being a state of degradation of the ecosystem is revealed in plants for a win-win situation, which stimulates growth and proliferation of algae and aquatic plants. These act as biological filters, removing pollutants from water and oxygen supply at the same time. Some
helophytes as Phragmites and Typha, mediating the transfer of oxygen from the aerial parts of the rhizosphere through the loss of oxygen from the root, increase the aerobic degradation of organic matter and nitrification. Phragmites australis is particularly important that not only works as an oxygen pump, but is also able to build around his drums microecosistema a very efficient in removing extraneous items (such as pathogenic micro-organisms) (Brix, 1994).
Aquatic plants have the characteristic of a spongy tissue, aerifero parenchyma, particularly developed in stems and roots characterized by large intercellular spaces filled with air.
The roots of aquatic plants are in fact normally submerged in the sediments, ie in an environment poor in oxygen that prevents them from breathing to obtain the necessary energy absorption of the ions. The plant will then carries oxygen to survive the aerial organs (stem and leaves) through the network of canals aerifero parenchyma.
The transfer of oxygen within the plant takes place by passive diffusion according to concentration gradient of gas in the interior and convective flow driven by pressure gradient that is generated for the various physical processes present. Several authors indicate that the pressure gradient causes the differences in temperature and vapor pressure of water through the porous membranes of plant tissues, or the Venturi-induced effect that is generated by the gradient of wind speed around the plant (Armstrnong & Armstrnong, 1990, Brix, 1993). The Venturi-induced effect allows the passage of oxygen into the damaged plants or even death during the winter and at night, because it depends on the temperature outside.
The amount of oxygen transferred to the roots, there are no uniform values \u200b\u200bin the literature, probably due to the different conditions under which the experiments were conducted. The literature has reported a release of oxygen by the roots of Phragmites australis, which ranges from 0.02 g/m2/da values \u200b\u200bbetween 5 and 45 g/m2/d (Reed & Brown, 1992), which vary depending on the density plants, the oxygen demand by the saturated soil and the permeability of the roots.

The living machine

The work expresses a complex place, full of spatial experiences, a home for the senses and the mind of his client, not only for his wheelchair.

Rem Koolhaas developed his training with the study of various disciplines, began his career as a journalist and writer in the Netherlands, after attending the Architecture Association School in Londra.Uno founders of OMA has the conception that the "construction", with particular attention to rag ions technical and conceptual material selection and configuration of the structures.
In 1994 he was commissioned by a client differently abled to build a house for him and his family ... and Koolhaas is expressed along the idea of \u200b\u200bthe master Mies Van Der Rohe, and that is to so that the architecture is free of weight and material constraints, this succeeds thanks to strong collaboration and approval of the customer.

This platform is not simply a elevatoe, but was furnished as a study and depending on the plan in which it seems to transform the environments.
Other important element is the contrast between inside and outside, in some cases so the house seems to be open to landscape, while in other cases it is as if it would create private spaces (such as the courtyard and the bedrooms, which are characterized by a large block wall that takes light from portholes).

Monday, 12/04/2010 The day I delivered my first ideas of designing: a market, a school for the study of volcanic systems, and a recreation center for the disabled. Considering that my
Urban Void (38, situated between Via Arrigo Davila and Via Giovanni Botero) is a small little park, the only green area in my neighborhood
, it is difficult to build a new building is well seen by the inhabitants.
This account has been yet another motivation which led me to consider that the most appropriate idea would be to make a gathering place for the disabled.
Once you have chosen to continue to develop the project I had to:

- Change the name of the project and not leave "recreational center for disabled people, meeting place and activities for disabled
;
- Making my project a resource, a means for transmitting a new message and then think of something special but
for all;
- Design thinking is not the difficulty but rather to the ability of the disabled;
- Thinking mixité fairly and do not give value to one function and / or category;
- Keep, the main issues that the green

Clean Up the World Foundation together with the disabled guests.

Legambiente and Holy Family: Clean up the World Foundation together with the disabled guests.

Initiative September 30, 2007, the Foundation for over 110 year welcomes people with mental disabilities and frail elderly environmentalist will be hosting the event opening its doors to all citizens who want to pass along to the guests a day dedicated to the environment and integration.
On the occasion of World Day to environmental awareness, 30 September 2007, at 9 am, Holy Family Foundation Legambiente and gather at the Sacred Family Cesano Boscone (Mi), for the initiative known as "Clean Up the World", proposed by several years by environmentalists.
The Foundation for over 110 years that welcomes people with disabilities and mentally frail elderly environmentalist will host the event by opening its doors to all citizens who want to pass along to the guests a day dedicated to the environment and integration.
"This time - says Fabio Amato, educator Unity St. Benedict, one of the promoters of the event - do not go out with our kids, but we encourage our citizens. Our guests will have the hosts. We like to think of this day, as well as to the environment, including integration. Those who come to play and clean with us in the Holy Family, September 30, they will find a peaceful and playful, away from the plate the ghetto where the inmates are mentally ill. The interaction with our Guests will also be useful to normal, at least we hope it makes them reflect on the prejudices that are still against the mentally ill and mentally fragile people. "

area Baden Powell was equipped for rest and relaxation.
Baden Powell Park, which is the camping area of \u200b\u200bVia Cà del Bosco named after the founder of Scouting, it becomes your ticket to welcome visitors with disabilities: a project promoted by Legambiente, and supported by the town of Soave with the contribution service center for volunteerism in Verona, has turned into picnic area.

There are new benches and new tables to measure disability, but also a large sign that summarizes the information, historical and environmental qualities of the place archiettonici.

The area became a reality thanks to the two-year project "The accessible green," will open tomorrow at 10 during a small ceremony inspired by the guitar of John Ferro.

The project "The accessible green 'is a project of understanding about why it is promoted by CSV, have decided to focus a dozen ace associations, ie Legambiente Soave, Legambiente-The Linden of Vigasio, Legambiente volunteers, Friends of Villa Buri-Wood, Duke's Court Parents Association, Association of Saint Lucia, Saint Lucia Association of public parks, I Montorio Committee, Committee for Green, Blackwater Group and voluntary de Bova Fate.

Everyone, identifying a local project, it is engaged in the retraining application of green areas with a view to make available and accessible to the elderly, disabled and children.

"From the village run every year thousands of tourists, but not always able to find an area for rest and relaxation.

The problem appears even more if we think in terms of accessibility to all. That's why we decided to join the project, "says Gianfranco Landing, president of the club soavese Legambiente," because at least a rest area is really for everyone. "

The City believed in the goodness of the idea by providing the area, the CSV c! Operto spending on equipment and Legambiente, which manages the park for years Zanella, gave us the job.

main intention is to reconnect young people to literature, including the recovery of oral tradition. the oral history has the speed as the main feature: the events, regardless of their maturity, they become point, connected by straight line segments in a zigzag pattern that corresponds to a non-stop movement. In any case, the story is on how long an operation, a spell that affects the passage of time ;[...] neglects the details, but insists on repetition. [...] The childish pleasure of hearing stories is also waiting for this that is repeated.
